Survival is the art of staying alive regardless of the environment and the incident or emergency that may arise, whether in a natural or urban setting. In all of these, various unexpected events such as accidents, emergencies, or catastrophes can occur. Therefore, we must anticipate the elements that preserve survival and minimize situations that put it at risk.

Outdoor activities are not without risks, and it's important to be adequately prepared for any incidents we may encounter.

Being prepared isn't an option, and whatever your motivation, the best way to respond as appropriately as possible to these dangers is to train properly with the best professionals. After that, there may be no turning back.

Whether you're a lover of adventure and survival, nature and bushcraft, a hiker, or someone concerned about the future and preparedness, don't stop training every day, and practice, practice, practice...

In this basic survival course, you'll learn and practice basic survival techniques that will help you avoid incidents and deal with emergencies, ensuring you're ready to respond appropriately.

What do our basic courses consist of?

The basic survival techniques level 1 course (techniques for emergencies in the wild, mountains or hostile environments) is a course endorsed by SIWA (Survival Instructors World Association) taught by SIWA certified instructors, with extensive professional experience in real situations and as professional trainers in different fields, led by our Training Director Roberto Orosa , who also has extensive military training as a member of special operations units, Green Berets.

It is about:

  • A theoretical-practical course, 100% in-person, with a maximum number of students per course of 15/instructor.
  • Although it is fundamentally oriented towards the natural environment, it can be applied to any environment.
  • It's not about starving yourself, but rather about learning techniques to be able to respond as accurately as possible to an incident or emergency.
  • Physical fitness is not required, as there are no long backpacking trips. This is a course to learn survival techniques, not to actually survive.

Why take a survival course?

There are several situations that can put life at risk, one of them or a combination of several will endanger our existence and that of the people who accompany us and for this we must:

  • Become aware of the situation and assess the risks that affect us immediately.
  • Make decisions to alleviate the situation and provide us with resources.
  • Act until the situation is resolved, either with the arrival of external help or by remedying it by our own means.

To alleviate this situation as much as possible , we need knowledge and skills that help us develop cognitive tools and resources to sustain life , all with a degree of psychological preparation that allows us to face a stressful situation, which will probably be chaotic at first and in which we will have to make quick decisions but with a high degree of reasoning.
